WOT ALUMNI
2016 - 2019
The desire to train pastors and church leaders started way back after my salvation in grade five. I was so privileged to have pastors who walked with me in my Christian life. They taught me how to pray and the pastoral work. They were zealous for the Lord and the ministry but they lacked the Bible training since they could not afford and/or they had limited education. When God opened an opportunity for me to study at Moffat Bible College for four years, I decided then that I wanted to invest my life in equipping those kinds of Pastors and church leaders.
Since we opened our doors in January 2016, by God’s grace, we have graduated 90 Pastors and church leaders who are now advancing the Kingdom of God in their communities. Many of our graduates have an average of 50 church members; you can just imagine the impact they are making with the training that they have received. Equipping someone who will go and equip others goes a long way in the kingdom building. The words of Paul to Timothy continues to be our guide as we currently go on with our fifth class; “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
Some of our Alumni have decided to further their education in other higher learning institutions. Paul Kinyanjui and Peter Ngigi are currently at Moffat Bible College pursuing a diploma in Bible and Theology. Kamau Sheila Janet Wambui who graduated last year have gone to advance at Africa International University in Nairobi. It is a great encouragement to know that we have laid a great foundation in these students lives and they will continue to build on that.
Another great encouragement is to see many of our Alumnus going into church planting. One of the many ways that the kingdom of God grows is through church planting. Early this year, Stanley Ngugi and Francis Nga’nga both graduates of 2018 planted two churches in Maai-mahiu. As the population of the city grows so does the need to have more churches.
The impact that is being made by our Alumni for the kingdom of God is something only heaven will reveal it’s extent. It will be exciting to see it then. In the meantime, we continue to equip the equippers for the glory of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
